Our client is one of the largest global manufacturing organisations who are also one of the largest Movex/M3 users. We have been working with their materials handling subsidiary for some time now and they asked us to assist with a project to consolidate their Streamserve-based reporting activities.
 
This subsidiary has operations in a number of European countries and each country currently has responsibility for their own local Streamserve implementation. Following a review of their operations, a number of countries were found to be using old versions of Streamserve and their document templates were not being updated. Lack of consistency across all these individual implementations, combined with a major overhead for support and maintenance, was identified as a risk to the business and therefore a project to consolidate the Streamserve application into a central function was initiated. A primary concern was the ability to include country specific requirements, such as legal and business context into a standardised document set.
 
Our client required assistance in the design and implementation of this solution. Eleven country operations were identified as requiring access to this service and the client required assistance from a Streamserve/Movex consultant to support their implementation schedule.
 
Totalamber provided the services of our Senior Streamserve/Movex consultant, Andreas Fleischmann, to assist our client with the design and implementation of their consolidated environment. Andreas will initially determine the status of the existing implementation and provide a detailed plan to integrate the eleven countries into the consolidated system. Andreas is able to combine his considerable technical expertise with his business acumen to deliver a complete design, implementation and management service to our Movex and Streamserve clients.



This project is currently ongoing and is expected to last for between 60 and 90 days.
