A number of factors can require the migration of data. In this instance, our client had been growing through acquisition and required the migration of data from acquired companies into their corporate IFS application. Totalamber experience of IFS allowed us to recommend a migration consultant to provide assistance with the migration of existing, legacy data into IFS.
 
Data migration needs to be carefully planned to ensure the relevant data is extracted from the legacy system and correctly incorporated into the new system. Totalamber provided the technical consultancy required to develop the data extract (which is used to map the legacy data fields into the new system) and to also plan the migration activity to ensure live operations of the IFS application was maintained and new data successfully incorporated into the system.
